Help Is on the Way

In life, we all have a moment when the weight becomes too much. Moments when the weight of life feels heavier than what we can carry. Responsibilities, pressures, disappointments, burdens we didn’t choose. We try to push through, we try to stay strong, but the truth is: even the strongest people get tired.

Today, as we walked the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, following the path our Lord Jesus Christ took while carrying the cross, this truth became deeply real. Along that road, even the Son of God knelt under the weight of His cross. He fell more than once. The One who healed the sick, raised the dead, calmed the storm with a single word, the weight of the cross brought Him to His knees.

But here’s the good news: the story doesn’t end with Jesus on the ground. Right at that moment, God sent someone. He sent Simeon of Cyrene, a stranger from a distant place, to lift the weight off of Jesus (Matthew 27:32). Simeon didn’t take the cross away. He didn’t remove the journey. He simply came alongside, lifted the burden, and helped Jesus keep going.

Friends, that’s how God works in your life, too. You may be kneeling under something today. A weight you didn’t expect. A pressure that feels unfair. A burden that’s been on your shoulders too long. God has always someone He will send at the right moment—someone to lift you, encourage you, steady you, and help you walk forward again.

And maybe these daily messages I send, these reflections, these words God puts on my heart—maybe they are your Simeon of Cyrene. Maybe these messages are the hands He uses to steady you. The voice He uses to lift you. The reminder He whispers: “You’re not alone. You’re not forgotten. You will rise again.”

God never asks you to carry your cross alone. Just like He did on that dusty road to Calvary, comes alongside you. Sometimes through a friend. Sometimes through a stranger. Sometimes, through a message that shows up at the right time on your phone.

So, if you feel tired, if you feel pressed down, if life feels heavier than you expected, don’t be discouraged. Don’t think something is wrong with your faith. Remember, even Jesus knelt under His cross. But God didn’t leave Him there, and He won’t leave you there either.

Help is coming. Strength is coming. God is sending someone who will lift the weight and help you keep going.

Peace in the Storm

Today, we took a boat across the Sea of Galilee. As we moved over those waters, it was easy to picture that unforgettable moment when Jesus calmed the storm on this very lake. The disciples had set ou
