Welcome to the iLooys Blog! iLooys was launched on the feast of Holy Translators, October 8, 2016. iLooys is the creation of Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan, a priest (Վարդապետ) of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in America (Eastern Diocese).
In classical Armenian iLooys (ի Լոյս) means “Toward the Light”. Our mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ as the light of the world and the source of new life. We utilize the resources of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox tradition - art, architecture, poetry, philosophy, theology, and the lives of the saints - in order to explain and interpret the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To be most effective in this mission we place an emphasis and urgency on the use of contemporary forms of media and innovative communication technologies.
We offer therefore our blog to everyone with the hope that you will join us‚ wherever you are‚ for a journey toward the Light through our faith as we live it every day!
