How often do we stand before moments that feel too big for us? A new responsibility. An unexpected burden. A difficult transition. A calling that stretches our faith beyond what feels comfortable. In those moments, fear speaks loudly and questions fill the heart. But when God calls us, He also gives grace for the journey.

Today, we celebrate the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary. In a quiet town called Nazareth, the angel Gabriel brought haven’s message to a young woman. She did not have all the answers. She did not see how everything would unfold.

Yet, from the depth of her heart, she gave a simple, powerful response: “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). And through that yes, the Savior entered the world.

Too often, we think we need more strength before we say yes. We think we need more confidence, more assurance, more control. But God works the other way. He waits for our yes, and then He releases His grace. When God places something in your heart, He is not asking you to carry it alone. He is inviting you into a partnership with His grace.

Perhaps today you are facing something that feels overwhelming. A responsibility you did not expect. A season you would not have chosen. A step of obedience that stretches you beyond what feels familiar. Take courage from Mary, the Mother of God. Her yes became the doorway to blessing, the place where God’s power rested.

Offer God your yes today. Even if it is quiet. Even if it trembles. Even if it comes with tears. And when you say yes to Him you begin to discover what His grace can do within you. Strength rises. Peace settles. Doors open. What once felt impossible begins to unfold under the hand of God.

So let this be our prayer today: “Lord, I trust You with what I cannot yet see. I offer You my heart, my future, and my next step. Here I am. Let it be according to Your word.”

A simple yes, offered with trust, can become the beginning of something holy. And in the hands of God, one surrendered heart can change everything.
