Speaking of Hope

If you meet drivers who bought an expensive car and ask them about their car, they will talk for hours about its advantages and multifunctional capabilities. If you ask someone who bought a new computer about their computer, they will tell you about its power and capabilities. If you ask a gardener about his garden or greenhouses, he will tell you at length about the quantity and quality of his crops.

We are the believers of the Armenian Apostolic Church. But when people ask us about our faith, we are often not ready, and we struggle to discuss our beliefs, our communion with God, and our Holy Apostolic Church. The Apostle Peter exhorts: “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” (1 Peter 3:15). Indeed, we must be ready to testify about our faith, to speak about the hope we have in our Lord Jesus Christ so that people will come to God with our testimony, because “faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17)

Therefore, let us read and teach our children the Word of God, the Bible, and the writings of our church fathers. Let us pray to God to give us the necessary wisdom and words to answer every person who will ask anything about the hope in us.
