There are moments in life when our faith is tested beyond anything we could have imagined. Moments when the light fades and the future looks dark. I faced such a moment in the summer of 2022, after my car accident.

I remember lying in that hospital bed; broken, bruised, uncertain. The doctors didn’t know what the future would hold. I was staring at the ceiling, thinking my life as I knew it was over. No walking. No serving. No celebrating Badarak. I saw a lifetime of pain ahead, and in that moment of despair, I cried out to God: “Lord, take my life. If I cannot serve You as I once did, what is left for me?”

But right there, when I felt I had reached the end, I sensed something deep in my spirit. It wasn’t an audible voice, but it was clearer than any sound I had ever heard. A quiet whisper that seemed to fill the entire room: “Son, I’ve already taken your life. You gave it to Me long ago. You are Mine. And I will use even this for My glory.”

At that moment, tears ran down my face, not because of pain, but because of peace. I realized that my life was never about me holding on; it was about Him holding me. Even if the road ahead was uncertain, my future was secure because it was in His hands.

That night, I experienced surrender. I said, “God, if You want me whole, I’m Yours. If You want me to serve from a wheelchair, I’m Yours. If You call me to rise and walk again, I’m Yours.” And in that surrender came strength. Not all the answers, not instant healing, but a hope that no darkness could extinguish.

Friends, that is the mystery of faith — when we finally stop fighting for control, God begins to fight for us. When we stop demanding explanations, He gives us revelation. When we surrender, we don’t lose; we gain the strength to endure.

So whatever darkness you may be walking through, know this: God has not abandoned you. The same hands that shaped your life are still holding it. Trust Him. Surrender it all to Him. And you’ll discover that the safest place to be is in the loving, unshakable hands of our Heavenly Father.
