Reading and meditating God’s Word is the key to turning on the lamp. When we do that, we bring light to our life. When this psalm was written, the “lamp” was a candle in a lamp people would carry around. The lamp, as the flashlight today, light downs our path at every step. Our whole path may not be in the light, but God gives us just enough light for the next step. Walk with the Lamp of God’s Word, and you will walk in the light and reach the source of the Light.
