He Cares

We've all heard, uttered, or thought these words at some point: "No one cares about how I feel, what I think, or what I want." Life has moments where it feels like no one is listening or paying attention. These times can leave us upset, discouraged, and isolated.

The problems and challenges we face in daily life are very real; they aren't things we can simply throw away or ignore. However, what we can control is the anxiety these issues generate, the turmoil that unsettles our minds and disrupts the tranquility of our souls.

The Holy Scriptures provide a clear antidote for this anxiety: cast all your worries onto Christ and seek Him in prayer. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:6-7).

Even if it feels like people don't care, remember, God does. He is actively involved in every aspect of our lives, aware of our worries, fears, and pains. God encourages us to lay our burdens at His feet, for He knows their weight is too much for us to bear alone.

True peace and rest can be found in God when we humble ourselves under His mighty hand, place our worries in His care, and seek Him earnestly in prayer. Doing so allows us to find serenity, trusting in the unwavering love and care God offers us through the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.
