On this Holy Thursday, Jesus welcomes us to his table knowing that we are and will be fragile; perhaps we will betray him; perhaps we will run away. He wants us to be strengthened by the bread that became His Body, and by the wine that became His Blood. And as He said, " you also ought to wash one another’s feet," He now says, "You also ought to give your strength, your time, your love, and your willingness to your brothers and sisters. Give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord that others also may eat and live.”
